We’ve rounded up some of our favorite local restaurants to serve dishes we love and collaborations you won't be able to get anywhere else. See you October 4 & 5 at Pier 76 at Hudson River Park.
LessThe Great Kills spot has a few chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, as if to remind you that sure, this is a sandwich shop, but you’re still going to eat something absolutely lavish. There’s a full menu of large hot and cold sandwiches, and we'd go with a couple of people, so you can round out your pastrami sandwich with a muffuletta, or a hero with chicken cutlet and prosciutto.
It’s tempting to call Atoboy the future of fine dining. That would make for a nice catchy hook, and such generalizations can be helpful. But, despite the attentive service and prix-fixe format, Atoboy is something different, less categorizable, and perfectly tailored to the current moment.
Aunts et Uncles is a concept shop and plant-based restaurant that feels like a living-room hang, where you can leisurely peruse through the clothes and books for sale, then settle down to a meal of delicious, vegan food. This year, they are teaming up with Down North Pizza from North Philly to bring some delicious and inventive plant-based dishes to EEEEEATSCON.
The East Village restaurant, from the same folks as Bánh uptown, does a few different bánh mì versions, but the OG is the one to prioritize. Dark, coarse patê is smeared on that incredible bread, which is loaded with three different housemade cold cuts: beef, pork ham, and gelatinous Vietnamese head cheese. Strands of basil, cilantro, pickled carrots and daikon lie across the meat, interspersed with pork floss.
This tropical bar in the old bar area of Momofuku Ko has the lively but precise 4/4 energy of a soca band. Bar Kabawa's food—a preview of the full-fledged restaurant next-door—is very much worth trying. Reserve cardmembers can head to the Chase Sapphire Reserve Experience for bites throughout the weekend.
At Birdee, an all-day cafe in the The Refinery at Domino, the baked goods sell out early—and for good reason. The perfect strawberry cheesecake danishes, churro croissants and other laminated pastries from an Eleven Madison Park alum taste as good as they look.
Caffè Panna is an Italian ice cream spot in Gramercy that makes some of the best dessert in the city. They’re known for their sundaes, capped with Italian-imported whipped cream, and their high-low mix-ins: things like chocolate-covered potato chips, Speculoos brittle, medjool dates, and Oreo ganache.
Taqueria Ramirez's younger sibling Carnitas Ramirez is teaming up with Potluck Club, a Cantonese-American restaurant situated at the nexus of Chinatown, Nolita, and the LES. They're bringing an unforgettable menu to EEEEEATSCON.
The flagship location of Charles Pan-Fried Chicken on 145th Street is not only one of our favorite places to eat perfectly fried, extraordinarily comforting chicken, but it’s also a great place to hang out, sip on a limeade, and celebrate something special and low-key.
This collaboration with Titi's Empanadas brings together unpredictable jerk seasoning and perfectly executed empanadas from the Cachapas y Mas and Dyckman Dogs family. The Williamsburg empanada specialists know that little treats don't have to be sweet, and Cmarty's spicy, smoky approach to seasoning knows no bounds. They've teamed up before, and they're bringing that same energy, and an unforgettable menu, to EEEEEATSCON.
